American National General Assembly delegation visits the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province

　　Vice Director of the Department of Commerce Xu Tao held talks with American National General Assembly delegation led by the Senate Majority leader of Iowa Mike Grotte in the departmental institution on Oct.30,2013. Both sides exchanged opinions on how to strength the cooperation between the province and the state. The delegation members came from ten states. In addition of Senator identity, each member also involved in other social or economic work. The purpose of inviting this delegation was to promote the cooperation in economics and trade between our province and the United States, open the communication channel towards USA and invite more American politicians, business celebrities and enterprises to take part in the Tenth Northeast Asia Expo.

　　 

　　Vice Director of the Department of Commerce Xu Tao introduced the trade and investment between Jilin Province and USA. Vice Director Xu Tao pointed out that, USA was our main trade and investment partner, our agricultural and wooden products, automobiles and parts had a great complementarity with USA, both sides had a great space and potential to strength the trade and business, and hoped that both sides could keep in touch closely and friendly and cooperated more with each other. The delegation members from Nevada,Oregon,Utah and other states inquired about the service trade,the cooperation of agricultural products,high tech area and the construction of development zone.Vice Director Xu Tao answered the questions one by one and invited the delegation members to take part in the Tenth Northeast Asia Expo in the end.

　　 

　　American National General Assembly was found in 1975, which composes of National State Legislature，National Senator Association and National General Assembly Leadership Committee. The purpose of this organization is to be on behalf of General Assembly to search for the cooperation between states,improve its effectivity and independency in the states, and remain neutral in the political campaign. The visiting delegation included the Senators from Iowa,Oregon,Montana,Arkansas,Colorado,Nevada,New York ,Utah and other states,the members of National General Assembly and Walt-Mart company and so no. The Secretory of  Friendship Association of Jilin Province Chen Xufeng accompanied the delegation for the visiting. The comrades from the Foreign Trade Department accompanied Vice Director Xu Tao for the talks with the delegation.
